7th Hitchin Brownies
Where?
Meet at the Guide / Scout hut, Our Lady's Church, Grove Road, Hitchin.
When?
Thursday night 6:30 - 7:45 term time.

How old do I have to be?
You can join Brownies when you are 7 years old. When you are 10 you can go to Guides.
At first you wear your own clothes. You join in all the activities and find out what being a Brownie is all about. You learn the Brownie Promise and Law and Motto. When you are ready, after about 6 weeks, you are enrolled. You can then wear the Brownie Uniform.
What do I wear?
You can choose from a special uniform list -
culottes, shorts, tracksuit bottoms, t-shirts, sweatshirts, sash for badges and a baseball cap.
You can purchase the uniform from the Scout Hut in Grove Road, Hitchin. It is open on Monday nights 6:30 - 8:00
What do I need?
Badges and Brownie handbook are supplied when you are enrolled.
You may like to purchase a badge book to help you choose badges to work for.
You may also like to purchase the Brownie magazine from your newsagent. It comes out once a month.
What do Brownies do?
Brownies play games, make things, have fun outdoors, keep fit, help others.

How much does it cost?
Subs are £15.00 and
are due at the beginning of each term.

How do I join?
There is a waiting list and
it is advisable to put your name down when you start school. A form can
be collected from the Brownie leader during a meeting, or you can e-mail
your details.
We need to know your name, date of birth, address and telephone number.
