Hitchin Catholic Church

The Church of Our Lady Immaculate & St Andrew is situated at the junction of Grove Road and Nightingale Road opposite Bancroft Recreation Ground. There is a car park at the back of the Church but this can become very crowded. Additional parking can be found on the other side of Bancroft Recreation Ground and from there a short walk across the park will bring you to the Church.

To get to Our Lady's Church from the M1 and the A1 see directions below:

the M1 : leave the Motorway at the Luton turn off; follow the signs to Luton and then the A505 to Hitchin: the distance is about 9 miles. On arrival in Hitchin, follow the signs for Town Centre or A505 to Letchworth. Once at the Town Centre : turn right at the T Junction, (into Bancroft). Follow the A 505 past a mini-roundabout. You will pass the Church as you come up to a second mini-roundabout, so turn left into Grove Road, at this second roundabout and immediately left again into College Road, to arrive in the Church car park.

From the A1: Leave the Motorway at the A 602 Hitchin / Stevenage Exit. Follow the sign : Hitchin : A 602 for three miles. When you enter Hitchin, at the large roundabout : follow the sign for the Town Centre. Once you are in the Centre you will come to a T junction, turn right into Bancroft. Follow the A505 past a mini-roundabout. You will pass the Church as you come up to a second mini-roundabout, so turn left into Grove Road, at this second roundabout and immediately left again into College Road, to arrive in the Church car park.

The Parish House is in the top left hand corner of the Car Park. For the Church, go down the slope towards the Hall (in fact the old Church) - you will see the entrance on your right, up the brick ramp.
